This award-winning Victorian guest house offers stunning sea and harbour views, just a few minutes’ walk from Ilfracombe’s beach and town centre. The Collingdale Guest House offers an award-winning full English breakfast and free WiFi in public areas.
The guest bedrooms are decorated using neutral colours and wooden furnishings. Most are equipped with an en suite bathroom and they all feature a flat-screen TV, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Guests can relax in Collingdale’s lounge and watch TV or enjoy the picturesque scenic views from the window.
The on-site bar features a good selection of beers, wines and spirits including malt whiskeys and fine brandies for guests to enjoy.
Exmoor National Park is less than a 15-minute drive away and the Ilfracombe Golf Course is just over a mile from the guest house. The major A39 road, which runs into the heart of Cornwall, is less than 15 miles away. Tarka Trail - directly on doorstep for walking the Heritage coastal paths.
Lundy Island Ferry (0.3 miles/ 0.5km) - Regular sailings from Ilfracombe harbour to this unique unspoilt nature reserve.
Tunnels Beaches (0.6 miles/ 1km) - Ilfracombe's must-see attraction, a network of hand-carved tunnels leading to unique sheltered beaches and tidal Victorian bathing pools - Awarded Blue Flag status for past 3 years, alongside Woolacombe, Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands.
Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, Combe Martin (5 miles/ 8 km) - Within this natural setting on the edge of stunning Exmoor, dense woodlands and stunning botanical gardens are host to a incredible range of wildlife which come from all corners of the globe. Rooms are situated over several floors so may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. Please advise at the time of booking if you would prefer a room on the lower floor and The Collingdale will endeavour to meet your request. For those happy to stay on a top floor, there are fantastic views.
